The Works of Luther!

Martin Luther
The Luther Study on the Introduction and First Table of the Commandments from the Large Catechism continues on Jan. 22 at 6:30 in the Lake View Room. All the more time to read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest these passages before hearing Pastor Kuhlman's unique take on the gifts contained therein. Come early for best seating. The coffee will be on.

This class is for:
Anyone who has thought about reading Luther’s Works but feels intimidated by tackling the task alone.
  • Anyone who is interested in hearing a long-time scholar of Luther expound his findings with great joy and vigor.
  • Anyone who would like to pursue some more in-depth reading of and/or listening to works of Luther beyond the Small Catechism.

Rev. Brent Kuhlman of Trinity Lutheran—Murdock will be our instructor. Pastor Kuhlman holds both the Master of Divinity and Master of Sacred Theology degrees from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He has served as guest professor at Concordia University, Seward, NE, Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN, and the Lutheran Seminary, Novosibirsk, Siberia.

We are delighted to have him come and lead us in these studies. Some comments from our first trial meeting:
“It’s like drinking from a Fire Hose!”
“I can’t believe the hour’s up. Didn’t we just get started?”
“It’s almost as if this guy’s the second coming of Martin
Luther! WOW!”
